About GlideMission

A church management system built in Nairobi, by people who sat with church treasurers and watched them work.

Why we built it

Most church software is designed for congregations in North America or Europe. The feature lists look impressive until a Kenyan church asks the practical questions: how does an M-Pesa contribution reach a member’s record? How does a parish with districts and a women’s guild holding its own funds report upward? How do we produce an income and expenditure statement the annual general meeting will accept?

Those questions rarely had good answers. So churches here kept doing what they had always done — a register in the vestry, offering counts on loose sheets, pledge cards in a drawer, and a treasurer losing a weekend before every committee meeting. Every record existed; it just lived in five different places.

GlideMission was built the other way round: starting from how churches here are actually organised, how money actually arrives, and what church treasurers and administrators are actually accountable for.

Who we are

GlideMission is made by Digital Glide Ltd, a software company based at Westpark Towers in Westlands, Nairobi. We build and support the system ourselves — the people who write the code are the people who answer the phone.

That matters more than it sounds. When something goes wrong on a Sunday morning, a support ticket answered next week from another continent does not help. We train your staff in person, migrate your existing registers and books for you, and stay reachable afterwards.

How we work with churches

We start with your structure, not ours. Before anything is configured, we map how your church is actually organised — parish, districts, congregations, guilds, youth, committees — so the system reflects your reality rather than forcing you into someone else’s.

We migrate what you already have. Churches come to us from exercise books, spreadsheets and other systems. Bringing across member registers, opening balances and financial history is part of onboarding, not a separate project.

Your data belongs to your church. Not to us. You can export all of it at any time, and if you ever leave, we hand it over and delete our copy. Access inside the system is granted by office rather than by habit, so permissions end when a term of office does — which is what Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019 expects of any organisation holding personal records.

We tell you what the system does not do. Every vendor’s website, including ours, is written by its own marketing team. We would rather lose a sale by being straight with you than win one you regret. Ask us to show you anything live.

What we also build

Digital Glide also makes GlideCare, a health management information system for clinics and hospitals. The same principle runs through both: software for African institutions, built in Africa, supported locally.
