How the licence works

GlideMission is licensed to the church as a whole, in bands based on the size of your congregation — broadly a band for small churches, one for medium churches, and one for large churches. Within a band you are not charged per administrator, per treasurer or per member, so adding the people who need access does not change your bill.

Billing runs either monthly or annually, whichever suits how your church budgets. Parishes with districts, or denominations wanting several congregations under one structure, are quoted on their actual numbers rather than squeezed into a band.

What moves the price

Four things, in roughly this order of impact:

Congregation size. The band your membership falls into is the single biggest factor.

How much accounting depth you need. Recording income and expenditure is included at every level. A full general ledger, and separate sub-ledgers so each guild, group or district keeps its own books while still rolling up to the parish accounts, sit at the higher levels.

Communication tools. SMS and email messaging to members and groups from inside the system.

Integrations and customisation. Connecting GlideMission to something you already run, or changing reports and workflows to match how your denomination does things, is quoted as its own piece of work.

What is in every licence

Member and household records, events and attendance, income and expenditure, assets, the member mobile app for Android, and the reports your committees and annual general meeting will ask for. Software updates and support are not an add-on — they come with the licence.

Costs that are not ours

Being straight about this matters more than making the number look small:

M-Pesa. Your church uses its own paybill or till number, activated in your church's name. Safaricom's tariff applies to those transactions, and the money moves between your members and your church account. It never passes through Digital Glide, and we take no percentage of your offering.

SMS credits. Messages are sent through an SMS gateway account in your church's name, so you buy credits from that provider at their rate rather than marked up through us.

Your own hardware and internet. GlideMission runs in a browser and on Android phones, so most churches use computers and phones they already have.

Getting an actual number

Ask for a demo. We will walk through the system against your own structure, work out which band and which modules you actually need, and send a written quotation that separates the one-off onboarding cost from the recurring licence so you can see both. The demo and the quotation cost nothing, and there is no obligation at the end of either.

If a cheaper option fits your church better, we would rather tell you that than sell you something you will regret in a year.

Pricing Questions

How much does GlideMission cost?

GlideMission is quoted per church in Kenya Shillings, in bands based on the size of your congregation and the modules you need. Because a 150-member church and a 3,000-member parish with districts are not the same job, we size it against your actual structure and put the full annual cost in writing. The demo and the quotation are free.

Do you charge per user or per member?

Neither. The licence covers the church as a whole, in a band set by congregation size. You can give access to every administrator, treasurer, group leader and clerk who needs it without the bill changing.

Can we pay annually instead of monthly?

Yes. Both monthly and annual billing are available, so you can line the licence up with how your church budgets and when your financial year runs.

Is there a separate setup or training fee?

Your quotation states the one-off onboarding cost and the recurring licence separately, so you see both before you commit. Onboarding covers bringing across your existing member registers, opening balances and financial history, and training your staff to run the system themselves.

Does M-Pesa giving cost extra?

Your church uses its own paybill or till number, activated in your church name, so Safaricom tariffs apply to those transactions as they already do. The money moves between your members and your church account. It never passes through Digital Glide and we take no percentage of your offering.

Do SMS messages to members cost extra?

Yes. SMS is sent through a gateway account in your church name, so you buy credits from that provider at their rate. We do not mark up messaging.

Can we see it before we pay anything?

Yes, and we would encourage it. A demo takes about forty minutes and is set up around your own parish, districts and groups rather than a generic sample church. Ask us to show you anything live, including the parts you are sceptical about.

What happens to our data if we stop using GlideMission?

The data belongs to your church, not to us. You can export all of it at any time, and if you leave we hand it over and delete our copy.
