What actually separates a good church management system in Kenya from one built for somewhere else — and an honest account of where GlideMission fits.
Request a Free DemoPaybill and till contributions recorded against the right member and the right fund, then reconciled against your M-Pesa statement.
Chart of accounts, budgets, supplier bills, bank reconciliation and AGM-ready financial statements — not just a list of contributions.
A configurable hierarchy so a parish with districts, guilds and youth groups is modelled as it actually is, with reports consolidating upward.
Quoted per church in KES, with setup, training and data migration included and the full annual cost put in writing before you commit.
Announcements, meeting notices and pledge reminders sent through local gateways, targeted by group or district.
Built and supported from Westlands by Digital Glide Ltd — training in person, help in your time zone.
Most church management software is built for congregations in North America or Europe. The feature lists look impressive until a Kenyan church asks the practical questions: how does a paybill contribution reach a member's record? How does a parish with eight districts and a women's guild holding its own funds report upward? How do we produce an income and expenditure statement the annual general meeting will accept?
So the honest criteria for this market are narrower than a generic feature comparison suggests:
1. Mobile money that reaches the books. A large share of giving now arrives by M-Pesa. The test is not whether a vendor says "M-Pesa" — it is whether a paybill payment ends up against the right member and the right fund without your treasurer retyping a statement.
2. Accounting, not contribution lists. Churches pay salaries, run projects and hold funds for their groups. Without a chart of accounts, budgets and bank reconciliation, you have a giving register, not a financial system.
3. Your structure, not a flat congregation. Parishes, districts, presbyteries, guilds and youth groups each need their own records and funds while still rolling up.
4. Data protection. Member records are personal data under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019. Access by office, revocable when an office changes hands, with a log of who changed what.
5. Local support and KES pricing. A support ticket answered next week from another continent does not help on a Sunday morning, and dollar pricing makes budgeting unpredictable.
GlideMission is built in Nairobi by Digital Glide Ltd and is in use in PCEA parishes. It covers membership, groups and districts, tithes and offerings, pledges and fundraising campaigns, full church accounting with bank reconciliation, events and attendance, bulk SMS, and a free Android app for members.
M-Pesa giving: once your church's own M-Pesa is activated, a member giving from the app receives the prompt on their phone and confirms with their PIN — the money goes to your church's account, never through us. Contributions — whether by prompt, paybill or till — are recorded against the member who gave and the purpose they gave for, flow into the general ledger alongside cash and bank giving, and are reconciled against your M-Pesa and bank statements. Members see their own giving history in the app and can give toward a specific campaign or income head.
We think the right way to compare systems is to watch them work. Every vendor's website, including ours, is written by its own marketing team. Ask each one to show you a live contribution travelling from a member's phone to a financial statement, with your own church's structure on screen.
Take these into every demo, ours included. The answers separate the systems quickly:
• Show me a paybill contribution reaching a member's record, live.
• Show me a trial balance and an income and expenditure statement.
• Show me our parish, districts and guilds modelled as they really are.
• Show me what a treasurer can see that an usher cannot, and how access ends when an office changes hands.
• Tell me the full annual cost in KES, including setup, training and SMS.
• Tell me how we export all our data if we ever leave.
You can see every GlideMission feature, read our longer buyer's guide to church management software in Kenya, or book a free demo and bring this list.
It depends on what your church needs most. For congregations that need real accounting alongside giving records — a chart of accounts, budgets, bank reconciliation and AGM-ready statements — together with parish and district structures, M-Pesa paybill giving and local support in Kenya Shillings, GlideMission is built specifically for that. Ask every vendor, including us, to demonstrate those things live with your own church structure rather than relying on feature lists.
Yes. Each church connects its own M-Pesa, so giving goes straight to your church's account. Once activated, members giving from the GlideMission app receive the prompt on their phone and confirm with their PIN, and paybill and till contributions are supported too. Every contribution is recorded against the member who gave and the fund they gave to, flows into the church accounts alongside cash and bank giving, and is reconciled against your M-Pesa statement. Members can see their own giving history at any time.
GlideMission is quoted per church in Kenya Shillings, based on the size of your congregation and the modules you need, with setup, training and migration of your existing records included. We put the full annual cost in writing before you commit. Request a demo and we will prepare a quotation for your church.
Yes. The church hierarchy is configurable, so presbytery, parish, district, congregation and groups can each manage their own members and funds while reports consolidate upward. GlideMission is in use in PCEA parishes, which are structured this way.
Member records are personal data under the Act, and the church is accountable for them. GlideMission grants access by office rather than by habit, so permissions end when a term of office does, keeps an audit trail of changes, encrypts data in transit and backs it up daily. Your church owns its data and can export it in full at any time.
Yes. Churches come to GlideMission from exercise books, spreadsheets and other systems. Migrating member registers and financial records, including opening balances, is part of onboarding rather than an extra project.
We will set up a demo around your parish, your districts and your groups, and answer every question above plainly, including the ones where the answer is "not yet".
