One accurate church member database for families, baptisms, transfers, groups, districts, attendance and follow-up — so no member falls through the cracks and no one has to ask who is still with us.
Request a Free DemoContacts, family links, baptism and confirmation, membership status and transfers — each member's whole story with the church in one place.
See who belongs where, move members between districts, and keep each group's own register accurate without parallel lists.
Record attendance at services and meetings and see participation trends across the congregation over time.
Track visits, new believers and members who have drifted away, so pastoral follow-up is deliberate rather than accidental.
Ministers, treasurers, group leaders and ushers each see only what their role requires — and access ends when their term does.
Members update their own details and see their giving, groups and church news through the free mobile app.
Ask a growing church how many active members it has and you will usually get an estimate rather than a number. The register in the vestry was last reconciled some years ago, several groups keep their own lists, and the people who know who has moved away or passed on carry that knowledge in their heads.
This is not carelessness — it is what happens when records are kept in books that cannot be searched, sorted or cross-checked. The cost is real: members who drift away unnoticed, visits that never happen, communication that reaches the same familiar faces, and planning based on guesswork.
A church membership management system replaces the estimate with a number, and the scattered lists with one register everyone works from.
Pastoral care that is intentional. When you can see who has not attended in three months, who recently joined, and who is new to the faith, follow-up becomes a plan rather than a reaction.
Communication that reaches the right people. Send a notice to one district, one guild, or every parent of a confirmation candidate — because the system knows who they are.
Giving linked to people. When membership and giving share one record, each member can receive a statement of their own contributions, and pledges can be followed up kindly and accurately.
Continuity across office bearers. When a church secretary or group leader hands over, the records hand over with them. Nothing important lives only in one person's notebook or phone.
A church register holds names, phone numbers, family relationships, giving history and sometimes sensitive pastoral notes. Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 that is personal data, and the church is accountable for how it is kept and shared.
In practice this means access granted by office rather than by friendship, revoked when someone leaves that office; a log of who changed what; encrypted storage and reliable backups; and a clear position that the church — not a vendor and not an individual — owns the records. GlideMission is built around those expectations. Our article on data protection in Kenyan churches covers what leaders should know.
See every feature or request a free demo to view the member register with your own district and group structure.
There is no practical limit. GlideMission serves single congregations of a few hundred members and parishes consolidating several thousand across districts, with the same speed.
Yes. Members with the free Android app can keep their own contact details current and see their groups, giving history and church news, which keeps the register accurate with far less office work.
Yes. Access is granted by office: a group leader may see their group, a treasurer the financial records, a minister the pastoral picture. Permissions are changed the day an office changes hands.
Yes. We migrate existing registers from books, spreadsheets or another system during onboarding, and help you reconcile duplicates and inactive records as part of the move.
Yes. Sacramental records, membership status and transfers in and out of the congregation are part of each member record, so the register reflects the church's actual life rather than only contact details.
We will show you the member register, groups and districts set up the way your church is actually organised.
